Dr. Rankin's Bio

Jerry L. Rankin, D.O.M., A.P. Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician

Professionally, Dr Rankin spends an hour or more with each new patient to create an individualized treatment plan that is customized to their individual condition, body, and spirit. A great advantage of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is that ALL patients are given a specific diagnosis with a suitable treatment plan for their particular condition. Traditional MDs cannot always make such a claim.

Another advantage of TCM is its use of herbs. Nearly all Western drugs have side-effects, many of which are serious. By comparison, TCM prescribes powerful herbs which have few or no side-effects. The reason for this is that the individual herbs in TCM formulas are combined in such a way as to cancel out side-effects while enhancing the therapeutic effect. Western drugs consist of a single chemical or just a few chemicals whose side-effects manifest freely. Chinese herbal formulas have hundreds to thousands of ingredients that work synergistically to negate side-effects while enhancing the therapeutic effects.

Personally

, Dr Rankin is a Christian who believes in God. He also believes there are energies, entities, connections, and communications constantly active and influencing the lives of everyone. “We are not alone, and we are constantly shaping our lives by the subtleness of our thoughts and beliefs. By projection, we are influencing and shaping the lives of all around us.” When disciplined and focused, Dr Rankin believes these thoughts and energies can be utilized to enhance people’s lives and heal the sick.
